Harvest Time Partners, in collaboration with The Character Council of Western New York, is pleased to award $1000 cash scholarships to high-school seniors who exemplify character in their daily lives and who will be attending an accredited college or trade school post-graduation.

• The scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors from public, private, parochial, or home schools, enrolling full-time in a college or trade school the Fall following graduation.
• Students must be current residents of Allegheny, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans, Wyoming or counties to be considered.
• The scholarships will be made payable directly to the chosen post-secondary institutions.
• Scholarship is based on the how the student conveys the importance of character in their life. It is not an academic-based scholarship. Students of all academic abilities are encourage to apply.
• This is a competitive scholarship. Last year we received over 200 applications. To this end:
  • Be sure you have included all required pieces (Contact Cover Sheet, 2 Reference Forms with letter of reference, and the student essay) Incomplete packets will not move forward for review. All pieces are to be mailed together in the same envelope.
  • DO NOT INCLUDE any additional information (resume, transcripts etc…) These will be discarded upon receipt and just makes more work for our team.
  • BE SURE YOUR EMAIL IS LEGIBLE. This is how you will be contacted.
  • Carefully review the prompt and be sure to follow the direction. Take you time in writing your essay.
  • The use of AI… ex: ChatGPT will result in the essay not being considered. It doesn’t need to be prefect, it does however have to your authentic voice.
  • There is no need to pay for certified mail, regular post is fine.

Application Deadline: Must be postmarked by March 1st of the student’s graduating year.

NOTE: Each of the applicants listed above had their applications reviewed by no less than 7 people at the end of a rigorous, three-step process.
